Agreed that the series is sealed but has the team management missed a trick or two by allowing the Pakistan team to regain its lost momentum? When you see Shoaib Malik dazzling away with those huge hits, it makes you wonder if we have gave him an extra chance to gain some confidence leading up to the test series.

We all know that Pakistan is an unpredictable side and such opportunities may well turn the tide in the crucial test series starting up next month. The Pak team will look at the score card which reads as 3-2 and will believe that it wasnt a dreadful series after all. A 3-2 score card implies that they have succeeded 40% in the current series against a score card of 4-1 which would have meant a success rate of just 20%. The team also seems to have lifted its game in the final ODI with the bowlers penetrating the Indian batting line up regularly and the batsmen finally coming good.

On the flip side of it, India has played two youngsters – Rohit Sharma and Praveen Kumar who have not performed to the expectations of the team management. Although, it’s equally important to give opportunities to youngsters, has the management taken the match a bit too easily? RP Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan are youngsters too and they could have tried their own strategies against the Pak batsmen. More importantly, Saurav Ganguly would needs a good knock in the middle could have used the match to regain his form just like Shoaib Malik.
